THE MANY PRODUCTIONS OF BOREDOM

ONCE UPON A TIME...

Hey heyz...well I suppose I'm doing this page out of boredom, I've got a host of web sites all over the internet, but every now and then I feel like I have to splurge and do one just for me that's completely pointless and stupid. So here you are!

So...a bit about myself (hence the reason they call these things homepages...um, that doesn't make sense does it...oh wellz hehe). I was born on the 27th March, 1981...I'm not gonna write how old I am now cuz god knows when I'll get around to ever updating this thing and change my age, so you do the math ;-)

I live in Adelaide, Australia. Something of an "artsy" city I suppose, but then again there isn't much else around to do *grin*. A quiet suburb called Modbury North, I'm really close to the local shopping centre, Tea Tree Plaza, which is handy for the odd guy-hunting expedition, etc.

I've been online since late January 1997, and it was at this time my life kinda gave in the computer completely and I officialy became a 'netizen hehe. I've used many different handles thru out my 'net life, but the one that is really ME all over is RiZ, the first name I ever used and the one that everyone knows my by. It's even at the point that some people call me Ritzy offline...scary thing that ;-)Other names include Altaca (from my love of tigers, it's part of the latin name for Siberian Tiger, which is Pantheris Tigeris Altaica), RaftrGrl (hehe, Patrick Rafter is a B-A-B-E! Oh, and a mighty fine tennis player too hehe), PhRZke (due to my, er, frisky nature shall we say *Cheeky Grinz*) and silverfreak (silverchair are a real cool band).

AND THERE SHE DID STUFF...

I'm presently an unemployed musician, if there is such a thing hehe, and my musical experience includes:

  • Piano since I was 3
  • Songwriting/composing, whatever you wanna call it, since I was 10
  • Singing since I was 13..prop'ly anyway hehe
  • Drums hopefully in the near future!
And talent shows 'n stuff include:
  • Year 9; Kildare College Music Recital
  • 1996 Campbelltown Mayoral Talent Competition
  • 1996 Rotary Club Youth Talent Awards (finalist)
  • Year 10; Kildare College Music Recital
  • 1997 Campbelltown Mayoral Talent Competition (Encouragement Award)
  • 1997 ANATS State Singing Competition (finalist)
  • 1998 Campbelltown Mayoral Talent Competition (last year in that one)
  • 1998 Rotary Club Youth Talent Awards (last year in that one too)
As for actual paid performances, I was in a band called Miss Behaving for 6 months in 1997, and did two gigs with them, one in a bar and one at a wedding, both totally rocked and I got paid lotsa money for it which kinda cemented my passion for music really *laugh* Getting paid for doing something that really doesn't feel like work at all is prob'ly the ultimate in a career.

Me again

I also dabble in Web Design, I've got my own li'l thing going called RiZMeDia, and absolutely no paid work for that as of yet hehe. I do have some work in the rafters waitin' for me though, it's coming! I've got a total of 14 sites online at the moment...which really goes to show how much spare time I have doesn't it?!

I really loved my first day at school, god knows what happened along the way, but by the time I started High School I really just wanted to get outta there! I changed schools half way thru my first year at High School from a co-ed to an all girls school, and interesting experience to say the least. I spent many a lunch hour whinging to the one friend I had "I MISS GUYS!!!", and anytime our "brother school" came to visit us, all the girls would just kinda sit like they were watching a bunch of fish in a bowl, quite sad really. I, of course, was never one of them...at this point I believed I was married to my music and really didn't need any part of the male population to live quite happily. Unfortunately this theory crashed the ground by the time I hit 14...shame really, I was smarter than I thought *Grin*

At 15 I said bye byez to school and headed for Music School - which sucked! I "studied" Music Technology for 8 whole months of pure torture (okay, I'm exaggerating just a li'l, it wasn't that bad!) but met some cool muso-type people and one dead set legend who I've unfortunately lost contact with now (always the way). I did what was s'posed to be one week (but turned out to be 4 days) of work experience at a pretty funky place called SongZu Recording Studios, they recorded and downmixed radio advertisements mostly, did the songs for 'em and stuff, and I was Assistant Producer. Which sounds really groovy, but mostly I just sat in the corner and watched. Learnt a li'l, got bored more, and was kinda relieved when it was all over!

These days I dedicate my time to learning something new every day. I know, that sounds so corny it's quite sickening. I'd much rather say "these days I spend my time surfing the 'net 24 hours and visiting stupid sites like The Belching Site that lists over 50 new ways of letting out some gas" but I'm prone to telling the truth every now and then (yes it really does happen, I promise...) so there ya go. I'm soon to begin a course on Creative Writing so I can officially call myself a qualified writer and not just some wannabe who sits at her computer all day pretending to write something in depth that actually sounds more like an opening scene from Days Of Our Lives. Whatta sad story this is turning out to be, hehe.

I have but few passions in life...

  • Music
  • Web Design
  • Writing
  • Music
  • Looking at the stars
  • Music
  • Anne Rice books
  • Pretending I know what Confusious is really trying to say
  • Vampire stuff
  • Music
  • Tigers
  • Daffy Duck
Ever so diverse. Not.

SO MUCH FOR ONCE UPON A TIME...

Anywayz, that's about it really, hopefully you haven't fallen asleep/off your chair/off the cloud in the sky that this here site sits and you've managed to read this far...or skimmed...or just happened to pick this paragraph totally at random. If this is the case, I'm actually a 67 year old cowgirl who hitchikes around Ayers Rock every 10 years for fun and breeds African Rabbits.

Um, yeah, this is the part where I leave and say "bye" 'n stuff, so....

Bye byez!
